The HSE Primary Care Reimbursement Service
is responsible for the disbursement of payments to Pharmacies and GP’s that have carried out service to medical card holders.

There were a number of day to day issues; the receipts from the GP’s and pharmacies had to be entered onto the payments system which took two days per month. Invoices received had to be passed to a management team for payment approval. These were sometimes misplaced resulting in late payment interest.
Installation and customisation of Advanced Business Manager allowed for integration between the main frame and payments system which eliminated the need to post the receipts manually.

Introducing an invoice log for every purchase invoice allowed staff to track individual invoices thus reducing late payments.
